Channel Memory
Channel Memory helps Subscribr remember important details about your channel across all conversations. Instead of repeating your preferences every time, the AI learns and retains key information automatically.
How It Works
As you chat with Subscribr, the system automatically identifies and saves important information about your channel, such as:
- Your preferences - Writing style, formatting choices, words to avoid
- Creator background - Your credentials, experience, and unique perspective
- Audience insights - Details about your viewers beyond the audience profile
- Domain knowledge - Subject matter specifics relevant to your niche
- Products & services - Courses, merchandise, or services you promote
- Constraints - Specific rules or requirements for your content
Automatic Learning
You don't need to do anything special. Just chat naturally, and Subscribr will pick up on recurring themes and preferences over time.
Where Memories Apply
Channel memories are used everywhere Subscribr generates content for your channel:
- Chat conversations - Both ideation and canvas chat modes
- Outline generation - When creating video structures
- Script writing - Full script generation and editing
- Regeneration - When you ask to redo content
This means once Subscribr learns that you "always include a hook in the first 30 seconds" or "prefer direct, no-nonsense language," it will apply that knowledge automatically across all your scripts.
Viewing Your Memories
To see what Subscribr has learned about your channel:
- Go to your channel's Settings page
- Scroll to the Channel Memory section
- View memories organized by category
Editing Memories
If a memory is incorrect or outdated:
- Click the Edit button next to any memory
- Update the text to reflect the correct information
- Click Save to confirm your changes
Deleting Memories
If a memory is no longer relevant or was incorrectly captured:
- Click the Delete button next to the memory
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Deleted memories won't be re-added automatically for 30 days, giving you control over what the AI remembers.
Adding Memories Manually
You can add memories directly without waiting for the AI to learn them:
- Click Add Memory in the Channel Memory section
- Select a category for your memory
- Write a clear, specific statement
- Click Add to save
This is useful when you want to establish important context immediately, such as "I never use profanity in my content" or "My videos are family-friendly."
Memory Limits
Each channel can store up to 20 memories. This limit ensures memories stay focused and relevant. When you approach the limit, consider:
- Consolidating similar memories
- Removing outdated information
- Keeping only the most impactful preferences
The system will automatically merge related memories when possible.
Disabling Channel Memory
If you prefer not to use this feature:
- Go to your channel's Settings page
- Find the Channel Memory section
- Toggle the feature off
When disabled, existing memories are preserved but won't be used in AI prompts.
Tips for Better Memories
- Be specific in chat - Instead of "make it better," say "add more storytelling elements like you did in my fishing video"
- State preferences clearly - "I always want a question-based hook" is more memorable than vague feedback
- Correct mistakes - If the AI misunderstands something, clarify it in chat so it learns the right approach
Privacy & Data
Channel memories are:
- Stored securely with your other channel data
- Only visible to team members with channel access
- Never shared across different channels or accounts
- Deletable at any time
