Chat Tools & Features
The Subscribr chat has powerful tools built in. Just paste links, mention channels, or ask for web searches - the AI handles the rest.
Pasting YouTube Video Links
Paste any YouTube video URL into the chat, and Subscribr will automatically:
- Fetch the video's metadata (title, views, likes, etc.)
- Retrieve the transcript
- Analyze the content structure
- Save it to your research sidebar
After pasting, you can ask:
- "Why did this video perform well?"
- "What's the hook strategy here?"
- "Break down the script structure"
- "How could I do something similar for my audience?"
You can paste multiple videos in one message to compare them.
Pasting YouTube Channel Links
Paste a YouTube channel URL (like youtube.com/@channelname) to:
- Get an overview of the channel's content strategy
- See their top-performing videos
- Find outliers that performed exceptionally well
- Understand their posting patterns
Follow up with questions like:
- "Show me their outlier videos from the past year"
- "What topics do they cover most?"
- "What can I learn from their best content?"
- "How does their approach compare to mine?"
Asking for Outliers
Request outlier videos from any channel:
- "Show me outliers from @MrBeast"
- "What are the top performing videos from this channel?"
- "Find videos that got way more views than usual"
You can filter results:
- "Show me long-form outliers only"
- "Outliers from the last 6 months"
- "Top 10 performing videos about [topic]"
Web Search
The AI can search the web for current information:
- "Search for the latest news about [topic]"
- "What are people saying about [trend]?"
- "Find statistics about [subject]"
- "Research the current state of [industry]"
Web search is great for topics where you need current information, recent statistics, or news that's newer than the AI's training data.
AI Research
The AI Research feature in your research sidebar performs deep, comprehensive research on any topic. Unlike quick web searches, AI Research:
- Explores multiple sources in depth
- Synthesizes findings into actionable insights
- Generates detailed reports you can reference later
- Saves results to your research library
To use AI Research:
- Open your research sidebar
- Click the "AI Research" button
- Enter your research question or topic
- Wait while the AI gathers and analyzes information
This is especially useful for topics where you need thorough background research, not just quick facts.
Remixing in Chat
Ask the AI to remix competitor content for your audience:
- "Remix this video for my channel"
- "How would I approach this topic differently?"
- "Take this concept and adapt it for [your niche]"
The AI will consider your voice profile and audience when suggesting how to adapt content.
Saving Research
As you chat, valuable research gets saved to your sidebar automatically. You can:
- Star important items - Makes them available across all scripts
- Delete irrelevant items - Keep your research clean
- Access later - Research persists in your chat history
Uploading Files
You can upload files (up to 10MB each) for the AI to reference:
- PDFs - Research papers, ebooks, reports
- Word documents (.doc, .docx) - Previous scripts, notes
- Text files (.txt, .md, .json, .csv) - Any written content
- Images (.jpg, .png, .gif, .webp) - Screenshots, thumbnails for analysis
This is useful when you have source material you want to incorporate into your planning.
Context Awareness
The chat remembers your entire conversation, so you can:
- Refer back to earlier ideas
- Build on previous analyses
- Combine insights from multiple videos or channels
- Refine ideas through multiple rounds of discussion
