Language Support
While Subscribr's interface is in English, you can chat and create scripts in virtually any language. Here's how language settings work throughout the app.
Overview
The app interface is English only, but you can use any language for chat conversations, script creation, and research sources.
Chatting in Other Languages
You can have conversations with the AI in any language. Simply type your messages in your preferred language, and the AI will respond in kind.
Setting a Default Chat Language
If you want the AI to always respond in a specific language:
- Go to Chat Settings
- In the Custom Instructions field, add:
Always respond in [language] - Save your settings
This instruction will be included with every chat message you send.
Mixing Languages
You can chat in one language while creating scripts in another. For example, you might discuss your video concept in Portuguese but generate the final script in English.
Creating Scripts in Other Languages
You can select which language to write your script in:
- In Canvas: When the canvas first opens, you'll see planning questions along with a Language dropdown where you can select your target language
- In Script Builder (Legacy): The language setting appears on the first page when creating a script
Channel Default Language
You can set a default language for your channel in Channel Settings (accessible from your channels page). All new scripts will start with that language selected, which is useful if you consistently create content in a language other than English.

Research in Any Language
Your research sources can be in any language - YouTube video transcripts, web articles, and uploaded documents all work regardless of the language they're written in. Subscribr will process and understand content regardless of language. You can even mix research sources in different languages - for example, using English research papers alongside Japanese video transcripts.
Common Use Cases
Creating Content for International Audiences
If you create content in multiple languages, set up separate channels for each language and configure each channel's default language. Train voice profiles from content in that language, and your scripts will naturally match the target audience.
Translating Concepts
You can research content in one language and create scripts in another. Analyze successful videos in English (or any language), use that research as context, and generate your script in your target language. The AI will adapt the concepts while maintaining cultural relevance for your audience.
Researching Global Trends
Use Intel to explore what's working in other markets. Filter by language in Intel search, study successful formats in different regions, and adapt those concepts for your audience.
Limitations
The app interface remains in English. Some AI features work best with widely-spoken languages, and highly specialized or rare languages may have reduced accuracy.
Tips for Non-English Scripts
Provide research sources in your target language when possible, and train your voice profile using samples in your target language. Review generated content carefully for cultural nuances, and use Chat Settings to set your preferred response language.
