Generate Videos with Subscribr Video

Connect your team to Subscribr Video, link your channels, and turn finished scripts into rendered videos without leaving Subscribr.

Turn finished scripts into fully rendered videos with Subscribr Video — connect once, link your channel, and generate straight from your script workflow.

What This Does

Subscribr Video is our AI video rendering product. With the integration connected, you can:

  • Send a finished script to Subscribr Video without copy/paste
  • See a cost estimate and your Video balance before you generate
  • Watch render progress right inside Subscribr
  • Preview, download, and manage finished videos from the script's Video tab

Subscribr Video is currently in private beta. Join the waitlist to request access. If your team is already in the pilot, your team owner can connect in Team Settings.

Step 1: Connect Your Team

A team owner or admin connects the integration once for the whole team:

  1. Open Team Settings and find the Subscribr Video section.
  2. Click Connect your account — this is only available if your team is in the Subscribr Video pilot. If your Subscribr Video account uses a different email than your Subscribr account, that's fine — the connection works across emails.
  3. You'll be sent to Subscribr Video to sign in and authorize the connection.
  4. Confirm which Video team to connect, and you'll land back in Subscribr.

That's it — no API keys to copy. You can disconnect at any time from the same place. Disconnecting stops new generations from Subscribr but never deletes anything on Subscribr Video.

New Subscribr Video accounts are not currently available — access is by invitation only. If you're not in the pilot yet, join the waitlist.

If the connection ever shows as broken (for example, after it was revoked on the Video side), any team owner or admin can reconnect from Team Settings using the same Connect button.

Step 2: Link a Channel

Each Subscribr channel links to one Subscribr Video channel, which carries your visual style, voice, and presentation presets:

  1. Open Channel Settings and find the Subscribr Video section.
  2. Pick an existing Video channel from the list, or click Create new to spin one up seeded with your channel's name.
  3. New Video channels need their style set up on Subscribr Video first — use Open in Video to finish setup, then Refresh status back in Subscribr.

A channel must be linked and ready before its scripts can generate videos.

Step 3: Generate a Video

From a script's Video tab (on the production board card):

  1. A Presets summary shows the avatar, visual style, and b-roll settings inherited from your linked Video channel — these are set on Subscribr Video and flow in automatically.
  2. Adjust what's overridable here: video name, voice, quality, editing pace, and captions (including caption style).
  3. Check the cost estimate and your balance (shown in minutes) — if the estimate exceeds your balance, the Generate button is disabled and a link takes you to Subscribr Video to buy more.
  4. Click Generate. Progress updates live as the render moves through Video's pipeline.

When the render completes, the tab shows an inline preview with Download and View on Subscribr Video links, and the script moves to Video Ready on your production board. You can make another version at any time — earlier renders stay listed in the history.

Balances and Billing

Subscribr credits and Subscribr Video balance are separate:

Balance Used for Where to top up
Subscribr credits Ideas, research, script writing Subscribr billing
Subscribr Video balance Rendering videos Subscribr Video

Generating a video spends your Video balance, never your Subscribr credits. The balance estimate is shown in minutes (the length of video your render will use). If your balance is too low for the estimate, the Generate button is disabled and a link takes you to Subscribr Video to buy more.

Troubleshooting

  • "Connection broken" banner — the stored connection is no longer authorized. A team owner or admin can reconnect from Team Settings.
  • "Finish setup on Video" — the linked Video channel doesn't have its style configured yet. Open it in Video, complete setup, then hit Refresh status.
  • Linked channel missing — if the Video channel was deleted on the Video side, you'll be asked to link a different one.
  • Render failed or stalled — use Retry to submit a fresh render, or Open in Subscribr Video to inspect the project directly.
